Yes the Duck has a Passenger Service License for the Road and a Safe Ship Management Certificate for the Sea. The crew are fully trained and qualified. Please contact us for a copy of a completed risk management form (RAM) for schools.
We have elderly on board all the time. Wheelchairs can be accommodated although it would be appreciated when you book to let us know.
We haven’t had anyone yet. The trip is 2/3rds road and 1/3 sea and inner harbour.
The Duck is sheltered inside against wind and rain so is normally fine. An alternative course might be taken if the conditions are very rough.
Yes. Mastercard, Visa, Amex, JCB and Diners are accepted.
The Duck is very safe for all ages. We have had school children and kindergarten groups on board many times.
There are life jackets aboard for all passengers, including adults and children. The skipper would advise you to wear them in emergency situations only.
Yes, we have lots to share on aspects of the 1931 Earthquake and the Art Deco buildings both in the City and around at Port Ahuriri.
You may get a bit of spray if the wind is really blowing however this is not a problem as there are roll down windows.
